Crews called to house fire in Eleva

Eleva (WQOW) - Fire crews in Trempealeau County were called to a house fire early Monday morning.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. in Eleva. Four people were in the home when it happened. They all made it out okay.

The fire chief says fire damage was contained to the basement, but there is smoke damage throughout the house. It's unclear at this time, what started the fire.

The Red Cross is helping the family.
