Independence (WQOW)- A 21-year-old Independence man was taken into custody Wednesday morning for possession of child pornography.
Trevor Allen Shay was arrested following an undercover investigation by the Independence Police Department. A search warrant turned up numerous items, mostly computers and computer equipment, that were seized from Shay's residence.
Trevor Shay is known to use an alias of Athena Marie Starrs on social media sites. Police are now asking parents to monitor their child's social media sites. If you child has come into contact with either Trevor Shay or Athena Marie Starrs you are asked to contact investigators at 715-985-3055.
