Eau Claire County (WQOW) - Yet another lawsuit is filed over last summer's deadly boat crash on the Chippewa River.
The suit filed this week is the third wrongful death lawsuit filed in connection with the crash that killed four people. Among the victims was Matt Simonson. His parents are suing Link Rec. They say that company owned one of the boats involved, and employed Mark Michels, who was operating it. He died in the collision.
They are also suing Robert Romanshek, the operator of the boat that Simonson was on. The suit claims both men were intoxicated. It also alleges they, and the company, were negligent and that their conduct was malicious.
