Barron County (WQOW) - New information has been released about a case involving a Rice Lake teacher, arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a child, by a school staff member.
Andrea Ebert, from Cameron, was arrested Friday. According to the school district's website, Ebert is a special education teacher for the Rice Lake School District.
The Barron County sheriff says there was more than one victim, but he's not releasing how many. He says the students were not elementary or middle school students. The sheriff says authorities got a tip from a citizen Wednesday night that lead to an investigation. Investigators say at this point, they don't believe any of the alleged acts happened on school property.
Charges have not been filed yet, but are expected on Monday.

Barron County (Press Release) - On Friday, the Barron County Sheriff's Department took Andrea L. Ebert, 30, from Cameron into custody on charges of sexual assault of a child by a school staff member. Ebert is a teacher with the Rice Lake Area School District.
At the initial stage of this investigation, it appears that none of the alleged acts took place on school property and the investigation is on-going.
Ebert is being held in the Barron County jail awaiting formal criminal charges by the Barron County District Attorney.
