Altoona (WQOW) - The search for a new superintendent
in Altoona is
down to three, but it could be a few days before we know the names of those
finalists. The school district says
reference checks are being made and the names may not be released until the
board has a chance to talk about that process at its meeting Monday night.
Another round of interviews will
happen later this month. On February 27th,
each finalist will go through an interview with the board, one with a team made
up of staff and community members and a public forum.
The
district hopes to have a new superintendent named by March 19th. They would replace Greg Fahrman, who is
retiring at the end of this school year.
Speaking of Altoona,
there's a primary for mayor on Tuesday.
