Altoona (WQOW)- A group of hockey parents made their pitch to a local school board last night.
Parents from the Altoona High School hockey team made a presentation to the school board, asking to get permission to form a co-op team with Eau Claire North. Fall Creek could also join the co-op if it gets permission. A hockey parent WQOW spoke with Tuesday says the meeting went well.
"They were asking about the financing; what North would have to pay and what Altoona would have to pay. That was the big question," says Altoona hockey parent Mike Magur. "So we have to come up with the finance; how much ice time we have to give and how much it's going to cost."
Both Eau Claire North and Altoona have school board meetings set up for march 5th. That's when a final vote will take place. All co-ops need to register by the state's April 1st deadline.
