Barnes & Noble to launch new Nook

New York (WQOW) - The highly-competitive tablet war could be about to heat up even more.

Barnes & Noble is to release a new, cheaper Nook tablet this week. The 8 gigabyte tablet would allow Barnes & Noble to match or even under cut Amazon's Kindle Fire, which costs $199.

Barnes & Noble's current Nook has 16 gigabytes and costs about $249.
