MADISON (WKOW) – Madison police are looking for a suspect who tried to lure a young girl into his car on Thursday.
Officials said the 13-year-old girl was walking home from school on the 4500 block of Rahel Street when a man approached her and asked if she wanted a ride home.
The young girl told the police that the suspect claimed to be someone's dad who lived in the same neighborhood. The young girl's father told police that the father of the boy that the suspect claimed to be was deceased.
According to the police, the girl said "no" when asked if she wanted a ride home and ran home to tell her parents.
Madison police describe the suspect as a white male around 50-60 years old. He is tall, thin and has gray hair. He was driving a 4-door maroon car that could possibly be a Buick.
