Augusta (WQOW) - Students will be better organized at a local school thanks to a grant.
WQOW News 18, along with RCU, presented the latest $300 Tools for Schools award to Mr. Knutson's third grade class in Augusta. Mold caused a lot of problems in the school in recent years. All the desks in his classroom had to be thrown out. A local college donated desks, but the class was still without organizers for folders and books. This new grant will help pay for those.
"We've definitely done a nice job of making it work, but there have been some hardships as far as things that were not replaced immediately, so we came across some things that were a little bit difficult to deal with, but everything worked out and we made the best of a bad situation," said Knutson.
