Man dies as result of crash injuries

Polk County (Press Release from the Polk County Sheriff's Department) - Kim L. Anderson, 58, of Amery, died at St. Paul Regions Hospital on Friday, June 15th, 2012.

Anderson was involved in a motor vehicle crash at about 5:30 p.m. on June 13 in the Town of Alden in Polk County. Anderson was the lone occupant of a car southbound on State Highway 65 when he left the roadway and struck a tree.

Rescue workers from Dresser, Osceola and Garfield Fire Department extricated Anderson who was trapped in his 1996 Buick Regal. Anderson was transported to Amery Regional Medical Center and later flown to St. Paul Regions Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Department.
