Local chiropractors volunteering at the Olympics

Lake Hallie (WQOW) - Two local chiropractors are heading to London for the summer Olympics.

Dr. Kevin Schultz and Dr. Drew Kaminski will be going with 65 other chiropractors to treat the athletes competing in the Olympics. The doctors are all part of the maximize living network, which focuses on five essentials including nutrition and exercise.

"When we apply all of these essentials we're truly, we're just treating the athlete from the inside out. And the differences that they have seen has been remarkable. They say that their injuries are down tremendously, their performance goes up dramatically and when they do get injured they recover faster," said Dr. Kevin Shultz of Hallie Chiropractic.

Both chiropractors have done a lot to prepare by treating athletes at regional events.

"We've also had to make multiple trips to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. And then we've traveled to Florida, usually once a quarter, at least, learning some of the biggest and the newest techniques as far as what's coming down and how to take care of these athletes," added Dr. Drew Kaminski of Back on Track Family Chiropractic.

The two will be working with wrestlers during the Olympics. Both say they are looking forward to the experience.
