Cornell woman dies in weekend crash

Barron County (Press Release) - On 6-16-12 at 4:39 a.m. the Barron County Sheriff's Dept received call of a one vehicle rollover on Highway SS, south of Chetek in the Town of Dovre. Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff's Dept along with the Chetek Police Dept, Chetek Ambulance and Chetek First Responders responded to the scene.

Upon arrival deputies located a vehicle that had rolled over several times and located a deceased female about 22 feet from the vehicle. The female was identified as Elizabeth Felix, 27, of Cornell. 

Initial investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling south on Highway SS and went off the road on a slight curve, struck a culvert and rolled several times, ejecting the driver.

Inattentive Driving appears to be a factor in the crash.
