Craigslist encounter leads to stalking charges for former UWEC student

Eau Claire (WQOW)- A former UW Eau Claire student is accused of sending nude photos of another student to more than fifty people to, in his words, "teach him a lesson".

Matthew Braun now faces charges of defamation, and stalking.  A UW Eau Claire student told police he met Braun in the personals section on Craigslist, and they agreed to meet.

The student said he sent nude photos of himself to Braun.  But he said he later decided not to meet Braun in person, which he said made Braun upset.  Braun then allegedly sent the nude photos of the student, along with derogatory letters, to the student's friends, co-workers, and his employer. Braun is due in court next month.
