NWL Monday: Rafters 5, Express 4

Wisconsin Rapids (WQOW) -- The Express squanders a four run lead in a 5-4 loss to the Rafters, in front of 1,028 fans at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids. 

Brandon Hohl's 8th inning grand slam off Eau Claire reliever Devin Moore is the difference, as the Rafters win their sixth straight game.

The Express gets a 1st inning RBI from Alex Real to grab an early lead, then Eau Claire extends the margin on a 2nd inning, 3-run HR off the bat of Nick Addison.

Express starter Andrew Hedrick loses his shutout in the 6th after giving up a solo HR to Brandon Downes.

Moore works a scoreless 7th, before giving up three straight 8th inning singles prior to Hohl's homer.

The two teams continue their series Tuesday with a 6:35 P.M. game at Carson Park in Eau Claire.
