Chippewa Falls (Press Release) -- Monday night the City of Chippewa Falls experienced a water main break at the intersection of Columbia Street and Bridge Street. The break appears to be independent of the project on Columbia Street, due to the fact that no excavation was completed near where the water is coming to the surface.
The City of Chippewa Falls Utility Crews will be digging to find and repair the break. If excavation is necessary at the intersection of Bridge Street & Columbia Street, Bridge Street will have to be temporarily closed. Traffic control will be in place directing traffic to appropriate routes. After the break is fixed, Bridge Street will be repaired to base course condition and re-opened and any necessary surface repairs will be completed with the Columbia Street project.
There were no customers out of water.
