Menomonie (WQOW) - A Menomonie business will more than double its workforce over the next few years.
On Monday night, the Menomonie City Council approved a development agreement with Hidden Valley Commercial Properties. The company will buy city property east of its current facility between I-94 and Freitag Drive.
The owner, which runs Hidden Valley Industries and Shape Products, plans to build a 36,000-square-foot facility on site. Shape Products is the largest manufacturer of window well covers in the US.
It would expand on site. The city would then need to put in a road and extend utilities for the project which would cost around $800,000. Thirty-seven jobs would be created over three years. Among the jobs that would be filled: machine operators, sales and customer service.
