Man gets prison time for crash that killed brother

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin man convicted of killing his own brother in a traffic crash is going to prison.

James Pederson of Galesville was convicted in April of homicide by drinking and driving.

His brother, Dillon Pederson, 19, died in a crash last November. Investigators say James Pederson lost control of his vehicle in Trempealeau County while fleeing a Galesville tavern where they had been involved in a bar fight.

On Tuesday, Pederson got seven years in prison for the fatal crash and for assaulting an elderly person in the fight.
