Wis. health officials seek comment on obesity plan

MADISON (WKOW) -- A number of goals are set for Wisconsin to fight obesity by 2020, and state officials want the public's input.

The state Department of Health Services will take written comments until July 18 on a plan that calls for decreasing the percentage of obese adults from 27 percent to 24 percent.

The plan also includes lowering the percentage of overweight or obese high school students from 23 percent to 21 percent, and increasing the number of adults who consume fruits at least twice a day.
