Eau Claire (Press Release) - The Eau Claire Parks and Recreation Department announces a change in the playground summer program.
Due to low enrollment, Playground Sites will be Flynn, Mitscher, Roosevelt, and Sam Davey. This will run Monday through Friday. The sites Newell, Kessler, and Sundet will no longer be used.
There is no cost for children to attend the parks, except there are some small fees assessed for several art projects and some special events. The neighborhood park program is open to children entering first through sixth grades as of September 2011. Children can register anytime throughout the summer.
The program began on Monday, June 11th, 2012. The program will run weekdays until Thursday August 9th, 2012. The parks will be closed on July 4th – 6th. Please note a time change – Playground are from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
