UPDATE: Police investigating armed robbery at Eau Claire Burger King

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Eau Claire police are investigating a robbery at a fast food restaurant.

The Burger King on Hastings Way was robbed just after 11:00 PM Wednesday night.  Police say a man threatened employees with a baseball bat.  Police say he used clothing to conceal his face.  No one was hurt.  Call Eau Claire police if you can help them in the case.

Eau Claire (Press Release) - On Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 11:04 p.m., Eau Claire Police responded to Burger King at 926 S. Hastings Way in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred. Police officers secured the scene, interviewed witnesses and checked the area for the suspect.

The initial investigation revealed that a lone male entered the restaurant with a baseball bat and demanded money from a store employee. The male then left the store through the rear door with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as:
Male / White
Approximately 5'10" to 6'0" tall
Approximately 170 pounds with an "in shape" build

Eau Claire Police Department detectives are continuing to investigate this crime. There are no surveillance images available for release at this time.
