Jail time in deer poaching case

Posted:

Clark County (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin man is sentenced for shining and shooting numerous deer.

Chad Rupnow and another man were nabbed by a warden in Clark County back in October.

The warden found a loaded rifle and a spotlight in the front seat of their truck, and a dead doe in the back.   The men eventually admitted illegally shooting 11 deer from their truck.

Rupnow was sentenced this week to two months in jail. He also lost all hunting and fishing privileges for nine years and was fined $2,700.
