Eau Claire (WQOW) - Prosecutors say a local man raped a 16-year-old mentally ill girl while his girlfriend slept nearby.

The girl told investigators that Daniel Sykora provided alcohol and marijuana to her and some other people last weekend at a house in Eau Claire.

She says she fell asleep in the living room next to her sister who is Sykora's girlfriend. During the night she says she woke up to find Sykora sexually assaulting her. She told police her sister started to wake up prompting Sykora to stop until the other woman fell back asleep. And when her sister got up to feed her baby she says Sykora assaulted her again.

The girl told police that Sykora apologized to her the next day and told her not to tell anyone. Sykora is out on bond and will return to court in August.
