Clark County (WQOW)- Officials say the road three people died on after it washed out during a flash flood showed no signs of deterioration.
The Clark County Emergency Management Director says there was no sign of fatigue on the 50-foot wide section of road on County Road M northwest of Neillsville that collapsed and washed away, killing a Milwaukee couple and a Thorp woman. The county is mandated to inspect bridges every two years, but not culverts. Officials estimate the road will be repaired in two to four weeks.
