Chippewa County (WQOW)- A local sheriff's department is investigating two fires it's calling suspicious that happened at the Chippewa Valley Music Festival late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says the first fire began around 9 p.m. Friday night when a port-a-potty in the campground was attempted to be lit on fire. The second fire happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning when a pop-up camper caught fire with people inside it. The Chippewa Fire District responded and put the fire out. The occupants in the trailer were treated for non life-threatening injuries at the scene but did not require any additional medical attention. Law enforcement says it believes both fires are related and that it is investigating both incidents.
