Woman pleads no contest to intimidation charges in Polk County

Posted:

Polk County (WQOW) – A woman will spend time behind bars after threatening victims of sexual assault.

On Monday, Sara A. Hanson pleaded no contest to two counts of intimidation in Polk County.  Hanson's boyfriend, Peter Geis, is charged with sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl and an eleven-year-old repeatedly.  The girls told investigators they reported the assaults to Hanson, but she allegedly told them they would be on the news if they ever told anyone about it.

Hanson was sentenced to seven days in jail.  She must also pay a fine of $531.20 and isn't allowed to have contact with the victims.  Geis will be back in court in August.
