La Crosse (WQOW)- A La Crosse County jury has returned its verdict in the case of a man accused of killing his parents.
Eric Koula has been found guilty of two counts of first degree intentional homicide. The verdict came down just after 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Jurors had deliberated since Monday afternoon. Koula was charged in the murder of his parents at their Barre Mills home in 2010.
During the course of the trial prosecutors tried to prove that Koula shot and killed his parents for money, while the defense argued Dennis and Merna Koula were victims of a professional killer.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - Jurors in La Crosse County resume deliberations Tuesday in the case of a man accused of killing his parents.
Prosecutors tried to prove, through a circumstantial case, that Eric Koula fatally shot his parents for money. The defense argued Dennis and Merna Koula were victims of a professional killer. Defense attorney Jim Korby says there's no forensic evidence linking Koula to the crime - no fingerprints, no DNA, no murder weapon.
District Attorney Tim Gruenke accuses Koula of planting evidence to mislead investigators.
The 68-year-old father and 65-year-old mother died instantly of gunshot wounds to the head May 21.
The La Crosse Tribune (http://bit.ly/Opfuuy ) says jurors deliberating about five hours Monday.
