Dunn County (WQOW) - The trial for an ex-police chief has been rescheduled.

Gary Wayerski will go on trial for sexual assault in October. His trial was supposed to begin on Tuesday. Wayerski is the former Wheeler police chief. He was charged with several sex-related crimes against two teenagers he was mentoring. Charges were filed in March and July of 2011. He was fired later in the year.

The defense requested more time to review materials in the case so the court pushed back the trial. It will now begin October 8th.
