Wisconsin takes advantage of two walks and a wild pitch from Express reliever Bryan Crabb in the 9th inning, before a sacrifice fly off the bat of Brendon Hayden scores Brooks Braga with the winning run.
Eau Claire ties the game, 4-4, with a 3-run 6th inning, including an RBI double from Josh Scheffert and a solo HR by Alex Real.
Eau Claire starter Matt Trowbridge takes a perfect game into the 4th, when he loses both the no-hitter and the shutout. Hayden's RBI single ties the game 1-1. In the Woodchucks' 3-run 5th, Hayden knocks in 2 more runs with a double to the gap in left-center.
The Express and Woodchucks will play again Friday night at Athletic Park, before the series moves to Eau Claire's Carson Park for Saturday night's matchup.
