
Casey Gillaspie hits two homers, but the Express lose to WisconsinWausau (WQOW) -- The Express belt four home runs, but Wisconsin scored 10 runs in the fourth and fifth innings, disposing of Eau Claire on Friday.
The Express offense flexed their muscles, with Alex Real and Ty Forney each hitting solo home runs, and Casey Gillaspie blasting two homers off of Wisconsin pitchers. But Eau Claire's pitching let the team down at Athletic Park.
Eau Claire led 2-1 in the fourth, but things quickly fell apart. The Woodchucks scored five runs, shutting the door on Phillip Walby's day. The Eau Claire pitcher lasted just three innings, giving up 9 hits and 6 runs. Walby would pick up the loss. Reliever Kye Winter followed, pitching one inning and allowing five runs. Eau Claire moves to 3-12 on the road this season.
The Express return to Carson Park on Saturday to finish up the three-game series with Wisconsin. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
