Eau Claire (WQOW) - An Eau Claire man will be riding his bike for 24
hours straight for charity.
Mark Anderson is riding for the 7th
annual Ride for Ronnie event. Its in honor of his brother, who passed away in a
motorcycle accident in September of 2003. The event used to be a motorcycle ride,
but this year mark sold his Harley-Davidson and decided to keep riding off
road.
"I've got a lot of
friends that are riding with me today, I don't think there will be any point in
time where I'll probably ever be alone. My whole family is here, my parents, my
wife, my children are here. My mother-in-law," Anderson said.
Besides riding with mark, people
made pledges and donations for the event. All the proceeds go towards the Ron Anderson Memorial Ball Field at Cleghorn
School Park,
which will be putting in lights later this year. Mark started his ride earlier
this morning and will finish up tomorrow.
