At 7:50 PM on Saturday June 30, 2012 a crash occurred on I-94 WB at MILE POST 084.5 in EAU
CLAIRE County near FALL CREEK.
Assisting agencies included Osseo PD, Osseo Fire, Eau Claire County Sheriffs Dept.
The crash involved 1 fatality. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on attached page(s).
The details of the crash are as follows:
On 6-30-12 at 7:50pm, a one-vehicle crash occurred on I94 westbound at milepost 84.5 in Eau
Claire County. A Kia van, driven by 70-year-old Carol Fossler from Stacy, MN, was traveling
westbound on I94 when it struck a median concrete barrier, traveled across the westbound traffic
lanes, entered the ditch, and then vaulted and struck the County Highway K overpass/bridgegirder.
Ms. Fossler was the lone occupant in her van, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not a factor.

Eau Claire County (WQOW) - One person has died following a fatal crash on I-94.
Their name has not been released. The crash happened around eight o'clock Saturday night near Fall Creek in a construction zone. The state patrol says one vehicle was involved. The car appears to have collided with the embankment underneath an overpass. One lane of westbound I-94 near mile marker 84 was closed as crews investigate the crash. It's unknown yet how the crash happened.
