Area residents keep cool at local pool

Eau Claire (WQOW)-As everyone tries to keep cool one local business is enjoying the heat.

High temperatures are good for business at the Fairfax Pool. According to the manager, the number of swimmers is up by about 300 people per day. Overall the number of people going to the pool has shot up from last year.

"Because of the weather we've been really blessed with, so far our attendance is just about 7000 more than it was the previous year which is incredible for us," Kyle Lashaw, Fairfax Pool manager.

Tomorrow is grandparent's day at the pool; grandparents can get in for free when they bring their grandchildren.

The Fairfax Pool is open weekdays from 11:30a.m. to 7:00p.m., but depending on the weather the hours could be extended.  For the latest updates about pool hours you can visit the Fairfax Pool's facebook page.
