Polk County man sentenced for stealing expensive gun collection

Posted:

Polk County (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin man will spend time in prison for his role in the theft of a valuable gun collection.

A Polk County judge sentenced Eric Wood to four years in prison Tuesday. Wood, who's from Clear Lake, was convicted in the 2010 theft of a large gun safe from a Clear Lake home.

The one-hundred guns inside were valued at $20,000-30,000. Some of the weapons were recovered, but wood was ordered to pay for the rest.  His alleged partner in the crime is scheduled to accept a plea bargain in court Thursday.
