Burglar gets even more time behind bars

Posted:

Chippewa County (WQOW) - A local man who is in prison for a burglary that got national attention will spend even more time behind bars.

Coty Kimball, of Chippewa Falls, was charged in a series of break-ins at storage units. A Chippewa Falls bride, whose wedding dress was stolen, cracked the case for police when she found it listed for sale on Craigslist.

Kimball and an accomplice were ultimately accused of 18 break-ins and of stealing four ATVs from Zacho's Sports Center. The losses totaled $36,000. Kimball is serving two years in prison for that.

And just last week he got another three years tacked onto his sentence. That was for burglary and sexual assault convictions in Taylor County.
