Madison (WQOW) - It was one of the safest 4th of July's on the road in recent history.
This week, there were two traffic fatalities statewide over the 4th of July Holiday. That's the second lowest total in more than a decade. The deadliest in recent years was in 2008 when 14 people died on Wisconsin roads.
The State Patrol says the number can change depending on what day of the week the holiday falls on.
