
Madison (WQOW) -- The Express brought the winning run to the plate in the 9th, but the Mallards held on for the series sweep at Warner Park.
Eau Claire registered five errors, many of those leading to late runs. The Express rallied to cut the lead to 5-3 before Josh Scheffert grounded out to third to end the game. Starter Andrew Hedrick had another quality start, pitching seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs. He would earn the loss. The team has now lost six straight road games.
The Express get Sunday off before playing two games against Wisconsin Rapids on Monday.
