Menomonie (Press Release from the Wisconsin State Patrol) - At 11:26 AM on Sunday July 08, 2012 a crash occurred on I-94 WB at MILEPOST 47 in DUNN County near MENOMONIE. Assisting agencies included Dunn Co. Sheriff's Dept., Mayo 1 Helicopter, Menomonie Fire and Rescue, and Colfax Ambulance.
The crash involved 1 fatality and 2 injuries. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on

The details of the crash are as follows:
On July 8, 2012 at 11:26am, a single car rollover crash occurred on I94 w/b at milepost 47 in Dunn County. A Toyota Camry with 3 occupants was westbound on I94 when the Camry's rear tire blew out. The driver subsequently lost control of the car which then overturned on the roadway. The front seat passenger, 22-year old Zachary Scott Booher from Mesa, AZ, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and rear seat passenger were injured and transported by ambulance to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
I94 westbound was shut down at exit 52 and traffic rerouted onto an established alternate route for about 15 minutes as a medic helicopter landed on I94 westbound at the crash scene. None of the vehicle occupants ended up being transported from the scene by the helicopter.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
