Sawyer Co. (Press Release) - On Sunday, July 8, 2012, at approximately 12:15 a.m., the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call of a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash on STH 77. During the 911 call, a secondary collision occurred between a Jeep and the original vehicle.

Sawyer County Deputies arrived on scene and located three individuals who were injured. Two of the individuals were airlifted to Duluth and Eau Claire trauma centers, where a female later died of her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
