Eau Claire man injured in two-semi crash near Hudson

St. Croix County (Press Release) - At 8:43 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 a crash occurred on I-94 in St. Croix County near Hudson.

Assisting agencies included the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department, Hudson Fire and Hudson EMS.

The crash involved 1 injury.

The details of the crash are as follows:

On July 9, 2012 at approximately 8:43 a.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol received a report of a two semi crash on I-94 eastbound near Milepost 2. Ronald Oldenberg, 64, of Eau Claire, and Ronald Fivecoat, 43, of Douglas, WY, were both eastbound. Oldenberg's semi first sideswiped Fivecoat's semi, then Oldenberg's semi struck the median cement barrier and overturned.

Lane 1 eastbound was closed for a short time due to emergency vehicles and Lane 1 and 2 westbound were closed for approximately two hours during the recovery of the semi. Oldenberg received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Regions hospital for evaluation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
