LONDON (WKOW) – How much of your day
do you spend sitting? Well, if you get up and move around, you could add years
to your life, according to a new study in the British Medical Journal.
Researchers say you could add two
years to your life you reduce the time you spend sitting to less than three
hours a day. And limiting TV time to two hours a day could add on more than a
year.
The study does not establish a direct
cause-and-effect relationship between sitting, TV watching and death. But the
evidence does suggest an association between shortened lives and sedentary
activities, like TV watching and driving, is adding up.
