Daytime burglaries up in eastern Clark County

Posted:

Clark County (Press Release) - The Clark County Sheriff's Department is warning citizens of recent daytime burglaries occurring on the east side of the county.

The burglaries and thefts over the past four weeks have been occurring in townships along the eastern border of Clark County.  Unknown subjects are entering not only outer buildings but also residences.  These subjects are taking whatever items they are able to remove from the premise, ranging from jewelry, household items, tools and equipment such as air compressors and welders.  These burglaries and thefts are occurring during the daytime hours.  Some of these incidents had been witnessed by neighbors but due to the time of day it was felt it was not suspicious.  The Sheriff's Department currently has numerous cases that are being investigated.

The Sheriff's Department is advising citizens to be on the alert for any type of suspicious activity in their neighborhood, and also to secure your buildings and residences.  If any vehicles or people appear to be out of the ordinary you are asked to call 9-1-1.  Please make note of descriptions of the subjects or vehicles and license numbers if possible.  If you would like to remain anonymous you can call 888-847-2567 and leave a message.
