Eau Claire (WQOW) - An area man charged with helping his father grow and sell marijuana will not spend any time in jail.
Josef Knebel of Bruce was sentenced Thursday to three years on probation.
Investigators found nine pounds of marijuana, 50 pot plants, and $4,000 in cash during a drug bust last year.
Knebel's father, John Knebel, told detectives they had sold 30-to-40-pounds of pot across western Wisconsin. He said they did it to survive, after the economy dropped and he couldn't pay his bills.
John Knebel was sentenced earlier this year to two months in jail and probation.
