Crush, Predators Prepare For Friday Clash

Eau Claire (WQOW) --  A Northern Elite Football League playoff berth will be on the line Friday night at Carson Park when the Eau Claire Crush meets the Chippewa Valley Predators. 

The Crush won the first meeting with the Predators this season, 24-21, in overtime.  Both teams come in with 4-3 records, and both are very aware of what's at stake this time around.

"It's a must-win game for both teams," says Crush head coach Fred Hoversholm, "so you know it should be a great game Friday night.  And we played the first Friday night game this year and won that one, and this will be competitive, the Preds have all their people back.  And it will be a marquee game and we hope to be able to compete with them."

Predators head coach Martin T. Adams says, "The opportunity to play at home, play against our rival.  And we know what's at stake, there's really not much to talk to about with these grown men, they understand what's on the line.  It's just up to us to play good football defensively, offensively and special teams wise."

The Crush and Predators will kick things off at 7:00 P.M., Friday.
