Meet The Express: Drew Ghelfi

Eau Claire (WQOW) -- Express pitcher Drew Ghelfi is happy to be spending his summer playing in Eau Claire.

Ghelfi is a La Crosse native, who played two seasons at Iowa Central Community College before transferring to Minnesota, and he's had prior Northwoods League experience with both the Alexandria Beetles and La Crosse Loggers.

"Considering I played here in high school," says Ghelfi about Carson Park, "I remember coming here my junior and senior year of varsity and playing at this field, so I'm used to coming up here and you know, I know the area pretty well, too. This has worked out great, I love it here, Varsho is just an excellent coach, our whole coaching staff is really great, so I'm glad I'm here, as compared to, you know, back in La Crosse."
