Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - An expansion could be in the works for a local company.
Premium Waters, which bottles Chippewa Springs water, is looking at adding a third bottling line in Chippewa Falls. The company is considering purchasing a building it now uses as a warehouse and adding the bottling equipment.
The city council will meet next week to consider offering financial incentives to help pay for the multi-million dollar project. The plant manager says the expansion has the potential to create more than 20 jobs over the next several years.
Premium Waters is also considering it's five other plants around the country for the expansion but the city planner is optimistic they will pick Chippewa Falls.
The firm bottles more than 15 million cases of water every year in Chippewa Falls.
