Alleged drunk driver causes crash, injuring 3 in Rusk County

Rusk County (Press Release from the Wisconsin State Patrol) - At 12:30 PM on Saturday July 14, 2012 a crash occurred on US 8 WB at US 8 Norwegian Road in RUSK County near BRUCE.
No assisting agencies were reported.
The crash involved 3 injuries. 
The details of the crash are as follows:
Heather M. Bresette, 36 years of age, from Bruce, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.
On Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:05 pm a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper responded to a crash with injuries on US 8 at Norwegian Rd. Bresette, driving a 1995 Isuzu pulled onto US 8 from Norwegian Rd where she struck a 1999 Chev Malibu traveling eastbound on US 8. The driver of the 1999 Chev was Abdiaziz F. Weys from Schuyler NE. Both the driver and passenger in the Weys vehicle sustained injuries in the crash and were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts. Bresette was not injured in the crash. A subsequent investigation resulted in Bresette being arrested for causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. Other charges may be pending the outcome of the investigation. The crash was written by the Wisconsin State Patrol. 
Immediately after this crash, another vehicle, driven by Dixie Potter of Ladysmith, collided into the 1999 Chev. Malibu that was stationary on the highway due to the first crash. The passenger in Potters vehc. was transported to a Rice Lake Hospital for a head injury. Potter also received a possible injury and was taken to a Ladysmith hospital.
