New jail captain named in Barron County

Barron County (Press Release) - On July 10, 2012, Ron Baures was named Jail Captain for the Barron County Sheriff's Department. Ron is an eight year veteran of the Sheriff's Department and has 23 years of law enforcement experience.

Ron started his law enforcement career with the Rusk County Sheriff's Department and held many positions while employed with them including patrol deputy, K-9 Officer, and Sgt. of Jail, Patrol and Dispatch. Ron was hired at the Barron County Sheriff Department in May 2004 serving as a patrol deputy before being promoted to drug detective.

Ron's expertise, leadership and experience will continue to make the Barron County Jail one of the best jails in Wisconsin.
