Eau Claire (WQOW) - The first day of work is in the books for UW- Eau Claire's interim chancellor.
Today was the first day on the job for Dr. Gilles Bousquet. He will bridge the gap until the UW-System can find a full-time chancellor to replace Dr. Brian Levin-Stankevich, who left in may to take a job in Utah.
"Experiences that I have had in strategic plans will also be transferable here to steward the current strategic plan, experience in bringing together partners from UW-Madison, I think will be also important here, experience in linking the campus with corporations, universities, alumni, abroad will be an experience that I will be able to bring here," Bousquet said.
Starting this fall, a special committee will begin a national search for someone to fill the job permanently.
