Prior to Monday's game, Ron Roenicke talks about Zach Greinke skipping Wednesday's start
Milwaukee (WQOW) -- Brewers right hander Zach Greinke, the subject of many trade rumors, will skip his scheduled start Wednesday.
The team cites fatigue as the reason. Greinke started three consecutive games for Milwaukee before and immediately after the All-Star break.
"We tried to do something with Zach that I think Zach thought was kind of neat," says Brewers manager Ron Roenicke, "I thought, we thought it would work, which was to have him start that back to back game first, after the game he was thrown out, then we tried to get him to be the first guy after the break because we wanted him to be the first guy out, we thought he was pitching the best of our starters, and it didn't work."
