Eau Claire (WQOW) - Traffic is being detoured on State Street while Xcel Energy replaces a utility pole.

A semi-trailer hit a utility pole just after 9:00 AM Tuesday morning. It happened at the corner of State Street and Lexington Boulevard. Xcel Energy is working to replace the pole, which could take a couple of hours. The work shouldn't cause any customers to lose power.

Northbound traffic traveling on State Street is being diverted while crews work on the pole.
